New Application Form

I was looking to the Recruitment section and wondered why all the applications posted by the potentiel members suck so much....

Now I have my answer : your application "form" is not really well done.
Here it is :

Tell us about yourself:

What should you write?
-Reason why you want to join TM.
-Why do you think TM is better than other clans?
-Where have you heard of us
-Do you speak fluent English?
-A funny, interesting text (If you have one) .
-A text with punctuation and capitals (it really helps).

In fact, when you're asking these questions to a guy, I'm not sure you will know much about him after hearing his answers, and neither if he's really interested by the clan.
All you have to do is asking more complicated and personal questions.

Here is the application form I made :

Presentation Part

-Languages you speak (a fluent English is necessary):
-What kind of person are you ? (*)

Gaming Part

-Favourite game (or serie of games):
-Past online games:
-Past clans:
-PSN:
-Currently playing:
-Do you play for fun, which means you don't care about the results, or at the opposite, are you always trying to get the best stats, whatever the cost ? (a moderate answer is accepted)
-Do you often talk into your headset ?
-Do you play more than 4 hours every day ? (*)

Joining TM Part

-Where have you heard of us ?
-Why do you think TM is different than other clans?
-Why do you wan't to join ? (the fact that TM is a good clan is not a proof of your interest for us)
-What can you bring to TM, except one more member ?

-You probably had another clan before TM, which means you betrayed it, but what makes you think you're gonna be loyal with us ? (*)
-When you lose a game, what is your reaction ? (*)
-Sometimes, we're moving to other games : would you be ready to follow your partners even if you hadn't plan to buy this game ? (*)

-During the games, we like to have some fun, so do you have a funny story for us ?


As you can see I put a (*) at the end of a few questions, which means the answer is important (it makes the difference between a normal guy and a no-life).
Globally, an interested gamer will fill all the blanks, whereas the others will skip some questions or answer shit.

Now if you have some questions, that's the moment

No reaction is the same. And I think everyone will answer the same thing.

I think this will be a question which can only be answered when the person who wants to join has been in TM for a while. There needs to be a certain loyalty present before willing to buy a game just for the clan.

I agree with you UnK, but there are two ways to recruit someone :
1) You ask him
2) He asks you

In the second case, if the player is interested by the clan, it means he already know a bit the guys in there, and also the fact that he will enjoy the teamplay...
So as long as you're not asking him to make a book about his life, I think he can easily answer that kind of questions (if he is of course enough mature).

But it is also a way to gain some time, because with the former application it was quite easy to lie about yourself whereas now there is no "good" answer to most of questions, it just depends on who you are...

Oui, c'est parfait ça.

I'm just saying that most answers for those 2 questions will likely return. But it's nice to have an answer for those, only too bad that we can't check if they're being answered honestly.

You did a good job, especially that you did it so spontaniously. ^^

Don't worry, if somebody lies about himself on this forum, you will know it once you've talked to him in a game...
